Our Division 1 program and Midwifery program
runs for 52 weeks and our Division
2 programs for 26 weeks.

To ensure that your needs are met we are offering our program
in a number of different ways, you can choose from one of the
following:
Division 1
52 weeks general acute
52 weeks mental health
52 weeks perioperative
Combined general acute and midwifery (double degree only)
Combined general acute and perioperative
Don’t know what your clinical interests are? With the
flexibility of at least 3 rotations during your graduate
program, you can discover your passion!
There is also the option of short rotations in other specialty
areas in negotiation with individual hospitals such as Intensive
Care, Rehabilitation, Mental Health and Midwifery. This is dependant
on the individual hospital and can be discussed at interview.
Midwife
52 weeks midwifery
Division 2
26 week general acute / mental health / or perioperative
is
being offered both full time (76 hours/fortnight) and
part time (minimum 45 hours/fortnight). remains
52 weeks (Division 1 & Midwives) or 26 weeks (Division 2)
program regardless of your full time or part time status.
Our hospitals are flexible employers and will negotiate flexible
working hours through request-driven rosters. Both your needs
and the needs of the facility are considered with all rostering
requirements. You will be expected to complete a period of night
duty during your graduate program - the requirement will be discussed
at interview.

For Division 1 / Midwives
does not use computer match* so
you can apply directly, avoiding the hassles of computer match
- we will
confirm your success in obtaining a place in by
July 31, 2010. Imagine, starting your last semester with the
guarantee of your graduate year. This means you can focus on
your study, not stress about your future.
*Please note that Mildura Base Hospital and Shepparton Private are taking part in computer
match.
Eligibility, Application and Interview
All gradplus applicants must:
- successfully complete their study and be eligible to register
with the Nurses’ Board of Victoria
- be able to work a minimum of 45 hours per
fortnight
- display effective interpersonal skills and be able to build
rapport with a diverse range of people
- be able to accept professional accountability for own actions
- be aware of own limitations
- demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development
- be willing to embrace the values of the Ramsay
Way
